On view at MoMA while we’re in NYC is a massive exhibition of work by American film director Tim Burton. It explores his creative output from childhood to adulthood, bringing together over seven hundred works – drawings, paintings, photographs, moving image works, concept art, storyboards, puppets, maquettes, costumes and cinematic ephemera from his films. The exhibition is accompanied by an extensive retrospective of Burton’s theatrical features and shorts, as well as an illustrated publication.
